Spectral Labs is building foundation models for physical engineering design.
Existing foundation models lack inherent spatial understanding and thus cannot meaningfully perform critical roles in engineering design and manufacturing. We train large models which lack these restrictions and can engineer physical systems. We believe our approach represents a significant step toward frontier AI systems that can intelligently design and reason about physical systems.
Our team is small and talent dense. We have founded quantitative trading firms and built generative design at Autodesk. Our founding members have worked on the cutting edge of research at Meta, Autodesk Research, Stanford, MIT, Samsung Research, and CMU.
